This position assists the Clinical Services Inpatient Nurse with the facilitation of the inpatient admit process. This includes, but is not limited to, the collection of clinical data that is utilized for concurrent review, data entry and the facilitation of discharge planning such as follow up outreach, ordering of DME/Home Health and other post-discharge outpatient services.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collects data for clinical review and submits data to licensed clinical services staff for decision-making


• Authorizes selected services per physician orders


• Performs post-discharge follow up calls


• Arranges post-discharge appointments


• Performs data entry


• Files/faxes


• Other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)


• 1+ years of experience in managed care environment or 3+ years in a medical office or clinic setting having had hospital interactions


• Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience of Institutional claims processing


• Medicare, HMO experience
