Part-Time Custodian - Southeast Education Center

This is a part-time position that reports to the Manager of Regional Centers and is located at the Southeast Education Center in Pittsfield, Illinois. This position is not benefit eligible.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties include general housekeeping i.e., sanitizing, dusting, sweeping, moping, cleaning dry erase boards, vacuuming, and gathering and disposing of trash and recyclables; minor weeding of landscaped areas; occasional snow shoveling of entryways and ice melt spreading; and set-up and tear-down for some campus events. This position follows workplace safety guidelines and ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Must be able to work without supervision.

This position is 10-20 hours per week on average. Starting time is flexible but will be before or after the Center's normal hours of operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma and 1-2 years of custodial or maintenance experience is preferred. The successful candidate must have the ability to become certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED. Critical thinking skills to prioritize tasks, be proactive, and follow safety rules are a must.
