Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Computer Programmer role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Computer Programmer will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Code and test programming for software and mobile apps.

  • Develop and deploy computer applications.

  • Execute code builds to test and production environments.

  • Fix bugs in existing code.

  • Collaborate with product, design.

  • Maintain documentation per company standards.

  • Provide testing, documentation, training, and support for third-party software products.

  • Resolve user-submitted problems and questions.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to write clean, well-documented code

  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities

  • Working knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server

  • Attention to detail

  • Self-Motivation and Independence

  • Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively and tactfully in both oral and written form.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Visio, Access)

  • Must be a team player.

  • Willingness to be held accountable for errors.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

  • One to three years of experience in software development

  • Proven experience with languages (Java, C++, VB.NET, VB)At least 2 years

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Access.

  • Strong knowledge of related skills is strongly preferred.

  • Attention to detail, in particular as it relates to compliance and accuracy of data.

  • Excellent communication skills

We work with the network’s participating physicians to coordinate patient care when a referral is made to a specialist or hospital for diagnosis and treatment. We coordinate patient care across all aspects of the provider network. In this way, the Electronic Health Plans team makes its best efforts to provide high quality services to its participating physicians and superior health care to its members.
