General Manager - Aviation

We’re seeking a General Manager who will build on our decades of success by simultaneously driving business strategies to meet sales and profit objectives while fostering strong, collaborative relationships with teams to provide our customers a reliable, first-class experience.

What You’ll Do:
The General Manager is accountable for the overall P&L of the business and primarily responsible for the business success of SC Aviation via managing the day-to-day operations of SC Aviation. To do so you’ll collaboratively work with the Flight Operations, Sales/Marketing, Scheduling, Maintenance, Accounting, and Safety teams. We are growing and continue to look for opportunities to expand. This position requires someone to develop and implement long-term growth strategies, including helping to identify new aircraft management opportunities and new airframes for the fleet.
This role reports to the Vice President of SC Aviation and is also responsible for:
• Developing good working relationships with customers, vendors, operators, and colleagues
• Conducting monthly reviews of P&L and other financial documents with the key functional leaders
• Monitoring key performance indicators and developing strategies to maximize the profit of the business
• Creating the annual goals and objectives for the business and collaborating with functional leaders to develop functional goals and objectives
• Evaluating all new business opportunities to determine viability and impact to the bottom line
• Serving as the primary contact with aircraft owners and building mutually beneficial relationships with them to support the overall retention of aircraft in the fleet
• Working with legal resources to develop and review all contracts with the aircraft owners and other business partners
• Partnering with Safety to enhance and actively promote our safety programs to ensure we maintain our excellent safety record and culture
• Maintaining a culture where employees feel valued and are supported as they continue to grow in their career
• Proactively partnering with Human Resources, leaders, and other business partners to drive accountability for all parts of the aviation business and individual contributions
