MSP Project Engineer Level 2-3

Our Project Engineer Guru Level II/III assists with the implementation, and documentation of small business networks for multiple clients adhering to a technology stack for uniform support by a separate service and support team. You will be prioritizing and scheduling projects, acting in a team lead role for projects, performing basic project management, and executing on the approved project charters and work plans. You will be creating clear documentation in our PSA as well as our Wiki. You will provide projects in a timely, professional, and courteous manner that results in Wildly Happy Clients.

Work Experience:

• 3 to 5 years work experience in IT
• Post-secondary education in technology desired
• MSP Experience desired
• Performing in an escalation role
• Reviewing and implementing IT solutions and projects
• Use of a PSA/Ticketing System
• Use of an RMM solution
• Providing regular status updates internally and to points of contact at clients on tickets or projects

Technologies

• Windows operating systems; both server and desktop
• Windows Server Administration
• Virtualization technologies and hypervisors
• Firewall deployment, configuration, and management
• Switching and wireless access deployment, configuration, and management
• Microsoft 365 applications including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Teams
• Microsoft Azure Endpoint Management implementation and administration
• Hosted cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, Rackspace, GreenCloud, etc
• BCP and DR design, implementation, and administration

• MCSE: Core Infrastructure (exams: 70-413, 70-745, or 70-744)
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900, MS-500, MS-100, MS-101)
• FortiGate NSE 4 (NSE 1, NSE 2, NSE 3)
• Datto CDS: Continuity

• HPE servers and Aruba networking experience
• Professional communication skills including written and verbal communication with co-workers and customers on technical and non-technical items
• Excellent active listening and customer care skills
• Ownership of assigned tasks, tickets and projects
• Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of an issue and see it through to resolution
• Good self-organizational skills and prioritization ability for managing multiple tasks and projects
• Be able to adapt and learn quickly new technologies, processes, and procedures
• Understanding of cyber-security’s role in IT and proactive approach to response and protection
• Basic understanding of project opportunities and implementation from start to finish
• Knowledge and awareness to suggest project and system solutions to improve client’s business needs
