General Summary:
Responsible for the performance of forensic royalty audits to enforce and confirm licensee compliance with terms of License Agreements. Interfaces with external parties, including licensees and service providers, to identify/resolve non-compliance issues, reporting discrepancies, and potential business process difficulties that may impact licensees reporting requirements. Also interfaces with internal teams, including cross-functional teams (e.g., Compliance, Data, Licensing, Legal) and executives, to ensure all audit/compliance and relevant business issues have been addressed, communicated, and resolved.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develops an understanding of license agreement terms, relevant amendments, and exceptions for licensee accounts assigned.
Prepares analysis for ad-hoc projects to support management or other teams and communicates results to internal and third-party teams, under some supervision.
Interviews members of Licensees' staff and performs analysis of Licensees financial books, records, and business practices.
Quantifies audit findings/damages and prepares supporting work paper files, detailed exhibits, and reports.
Interacts with external parties, including licensees and service providers, to resolve non-compliance issues and reporting discrepancies.
Interfaces with internal teams, including cross-functional teams (e.g., Compliance, Data, Licensing, Legal), to address and resolve audit/compliance and relevant business issues, with some supervision.
Supports service providers (e.g., public accounting or consulting firm) throughout audit process, including gathering or generating, and evaluations relevant data.
Supports operational and process improvement projects within and across teams.
Guides and assists peers and junior members of the team to complete work.

Provides some supervision/guidance to other members; does not have direct reports.Responsible for own work. Decision-making is limited. Impact of decisions is readily apparent. Errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).
Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. Role may require basic negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy, etc.
Substantial creativity is needed to innovate new processes, procedures, or work products within guidelines or to achieve established objectives.
Deductive and inductive problem solving is required; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or incomplete; intermediate data analysis/interpretation skills may be required.
Incumbent's input may be solicited during strategic planning period.
Most tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
Travels domestically and internationally multiple times per year.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field
3+ years IPR Compliance or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field.
Eligible for CPA or similar certification
3+ years IPR Compliance Audit or related work experience.
2+ years audit/forensic and investigative research or related quantitative data analysis experience.
Multilingual (based on language of assigned accounts)
1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above)
2+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization.
1+ years working with operating budgets and/or project financials
1+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).
