The SAP ABAP Application Programmer works in a tight-knit, team environment contributing to integration and sustainment of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) combat support information technologies. This important role’s opportunities include supporting the client’s mission throughout the software development lifecycle, in requirements gathering, logical/specification document design, testing, deployment and maintenance. You will also support technical and non-technical users with trouble ticket/inquiry research and assistance, service restoration and error resolution as needed.
Minimum Position Requirements
• Undergraduate degree, Associates degree, or 2 years’ equivalent experience in applications programming, including support for configuring and extending COTS.
• Relevant experience, including an Enterprise Resource Planning system (i.e. SAP), ABAP development, functional software testing, and documentation
• Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)
• Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority; IC Agile Professional preferred
• Experience with software content repository system and help desk ticketing systems
• A basic understanding of systems and software development methodologies/frameworks (Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile.
• Ability to communicate effectively via presentations, e-mail, and teleconferencing
