The Product Manager will be responsible for building and executing a strategic roadmap for a highly visible and critically important consumer experience within the Employer and Individual (E&I) business. You will work closely with both key internal partners including other E&I Commercial Product teams, UHC Marketing, and Optum Tech to ideate, build, and launch new product features. The ideal candidate will be passionate about changing how our customers engage with our products and understand how to build scalable B2C/B2B2C products with a mobile-first digital experience that includes gamification and behavioral science. Primary Responsibilities:
- Ruthlessly prioritize these ideas in a robust, data-informed way, with an aim to have the most impact with limited resources - time, engineering resources, user volume, etc.
- Develop compelling roadmaps, milestones, and metric targets to our desired goals and measure progress towards them
- Work across teams (e.g. engineering, product, experience design, content, sales) and build partnerships to solve a myriad of complex user experience problems in creative, thoughtful, and scalable ways
- Partner with UX designers to create products with best-in-class and seamless user experience
- Own the creation of features, requirements, and user stories. Represents Product in the Agile Scrum process and provides strategy, context, decision-making, and approval to engineering teams as part of day-to-day Agile delivery.
- Works with engineering to align on feature sizing and delivery plans
- Leads the release planning and sets expectations for delivery of new functionalities, creates presentations, release notes or demos of new functionality as needed
- Supports operations and training leads in development of training materials, user guides, and FAQs for new product features and workflows
- Promote Agile product management processes, stays abreast of new emerging technology capabilities and leverages knowledge in contributing to product solutions

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of product management / product development experience or process improvement, with clear demonstration of results and increasing responsibility
- Experience in communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units
- Track record of using metrics, analytics, and user feedback to drive strategy and execution
- Proficiency with written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with A/B testing, user testing, user interviews and conversions funnels
- Digital health, health insurance, or consumer tech experience
- Solid understanding of digital health landscape including external relationships
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and deal with ambiguity
- Ability to bring fresh ideas and new thinking and confidence to challenge the status quo
- Ability to build solid relationships and collaborate across a variety of stakeholders and senior leadership

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
