Monitoring Analyst with Security Clearance

Peraton is seeking a Junior Monitoring Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will become part of Peraton's Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Peraton's DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber Monitoring & Operations (CMO) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton's DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges. This position requires a Secret clearance and is located in Beltsville, MD. Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform initial triage and analysis of detected security events * Perform network monitoring 24x7x365 for the Department's networks * Escalate events to malware analysts for further investigation * Contribute input to the Cyber Security Daily (CSD) * Identify and recommend new techniques for inclusion in monitoring strategy #DSCM2022 To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: * A Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience is required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 4 years of additional experience may be substituted * Possess CCNA, CEH, CISSP Cloud+, CySA+, GCIH, or similar certification * Active Top Secret security clearance is required with the ability to obtain SCI * Has proven proficiency in designing and implementing information assurance and security engineering systems with requirements of business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management) * Has proven ability to assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle. Colorado Salary Minimum: $41,300 Colorado Salary Maximum: $100,300 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
