Job Title: Database Administrator
Location: Millington, TN (Remote) 38053
Duration: Fulltime
Summary:
- The Database Administrator will design, implement, and maintain databases, support all SDLC phases of Information technology (IT) applications development
Responsibilities:
- Provide SQL Server database administration including installation, configuration, backup/recovery, replication, upgrades, performance tuning, and maintenance.
- Design, develop, test, and optimize SQL Server databases.
- Develop and maintain database triggers, views, functions, and stored procedures
- Provide SQL Server database administration including installation, configuration, backup/recovery, replication, upgrades, performance tuning, and maintenance.
- Lead the resolution of complex data problems, review, and validate data requirements including data integration (ETL, EAI, and web services), metadata, Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical), Data delivery and Business.
- Responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, documentation, testing, code review, and implementation during the applications development including web applications, web services, reports, and batch processes.
- Migrate databases from on-prem to cloud
- Perform production support to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in database administration activities (i.e., SQL Server)
- 7+ years of experience with SQL, data modeling, supporting applications development, and implementing database objects
- 7+ years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- 7+ years of experience with backups, restores and recovery models
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- 5+ years of experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in providing technical contributions to data analytics, system/data architecture, leveraging tools/technologies
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related filed.
