Job Description
Kimberton Whole Foods in Ottsville is hiring a full-time Produce Department Head!
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week.
Availability: Availability to work opening or closing shifts is required. One weekend shift is also required each week.
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.

The Produce Department Head provides a delightful customer experience while maintaining a welcoming, well-merchandised department. The produce department is the first greeting for our customers, and our organic and local produce selection is center to Kimberton Whole Food's mission to support local and sustainable organic agriculture. The Produce Department Head interacts with customers, vendors, and fellow Kimberton Whole Foods Team Members in a positive and authentic manner.
Daily Operations
- Follows Kimberton Whole Foods Produce merchandising Standard Operating Procedures to maintain abundant, dynamic and fresh displays throughout the entire department.
- Follows the current KWF ordering SOP to maintain a top-quality selection of the organic and seasonal produce.
- Understands KWF inventory management practices.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the entire department.
- Works with Store Manager and Category Manager to closely maintain all elements of department sales performance.
Team & Leadership
- Participate in the hiring, evaluation, training, coaching and development of Team Members in collaboration with the Store Manager.
- Support store experience by upholding Kimberton Whole Foods Guidelines for staff appearance, energy, quality, and cleanliness.
- Participates in scheduled management and departmental meetings to ensure core operational functions are followed.
