Industrial Sewer Job Summary:

A furniture manufacturer in Kentwood is seeking an Industrial Sewer for their organization. This is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Veteran/Disability Employer.

Industrial Sewer Responsibilities:

• Sew leather and upholstery for a variety of furniture pieces
• Run an industrial sewing machine, double needle
• Following patterns and templates
• Setting up and adjusting machines
• Inspect and ensure quality of product
• Measure and cut upholstery and leather as needed

Schedule & Pay:

• 1st shift 4:30am-3:00pm Monday -Thursday with OT on Friday and Saturdays
• $16.50/HR

Industrial Sewer Qualifications:

• Industrial sewing experience within the furniture industry preferred
• May be able to accommodate training a home sewer/seamstress
• Excellent measuring and manual dexterity
• A history of excellent attendance and punctuality
