The role you’ll contribute:

The Clinical Educator plans, develops, directs, teaches and/or coordinates the training, education and orientation of all Hospital staff. Works with Department Directors to identify necessary education for their departments in reaching their education goals to provide quality patient care through modeling, consultation and research. Provides guidance and support to all departments regarding Training Plans, Department Orientation programs and Competencies that are utilized within their department. Works with local schools in coordinating student clinical while in our facility. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards in relation to educational and competency requirements.

• Evaluates the needs of the Education Department. Makes sound decisions based on budgetary guidelines.

• Participates in the development and revision of policies, procedures, protocols and standards of care incorporating state, Joint Commission, ANA and community practice relating to the Educational Needs and Competency of Hospital Staff.

• Demonstrates the ability to effectively mentor staff. Identifies opportunity for learning.

• Assist to involve staff in the aspect of the QI process.

• Assist in training staff when deficient areas or situations are noted regarding patient care delivery system issues and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Associates in Nursing
  • 5 years previous experience as an RN
  • FL RN License
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
