This growth includes the addition of a dedicated Financial Institutions team as well as an experienced group of Transactional Liability underwriters furthering Berkley Professionals capabilities.
The Director of Compliance is responsible for ensuring the organization gains regulatory approval for new products and product amendments; and for maintaining the currency of product licenses and permits. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Product Filings
Work with and manage projects that interface with Underwriting, Actuarial, Legal, IT to rewrite writing current products and/or develop new products

Compile Form and Rate Filings, include but not limited to: drafting state amendatory endorsements, assigning form numbers, proofreading, responding to state objection letters, communicating with state examiners to obtain product approvals; and communicating with IT regarding product approvals
Projects
Assist in the development of Form and Rate Library including auditing to ensure all forms and rates filings are approved and included in Phoenix and working with Underwriting and IT to build easier ways to search/locate forms.
Assist in the development of surveys to be incorporated into Phoenix, including: ensuring compliance with cancellation, nonrenewal and conditional renewal letters; Large Risk Exemptions and Cancellations, Nonrenewals and Conditional Renewals.
Bachelors degree preferred
A minimum of 7 years of compliance experience in the insurance industry
3+ years experience working in Management Liability and especially Financial Institutions E & O product lines.
Extensive knowledge of the State requirements and experience compiling product filings and building effective Underwriting workflows
Able to communicate effectively with various departments, state agencies and other stakeholders.
Ability to identify workflow efficiencies
