Position: Software Engineer (IV)
Location: Colorado Springs, CO

BESL is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to provide key development assistance on behalf of US Space Force, Space Domain Awareness mission. This position requires Linux subject matter expertise in configuration, integration and deployment. Additionally, qualified candidates will be responsible to perform optical system software development, design, implementation, and testing. Requires a full range of knowledge of software development life cycle and use DevSecOps pipelines to perform integration and deployment. Responsible to perform software component design and development for the ATS subsystem.

What you will need:
•Minimum of 6 years experience as a Software Engineer
•Full-Stack Java development experience
•Full software lifecycle development processes including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and unit test
•Experience with the Agile Scrum development methodology
•Experience with software containerization and orchestration (Docker)
•Experience with DevSecOps (CI/CD) methodology and tools (Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify)
•Experience with the following languages in a RedHat Linux or similar environment: Java, Groovy, Bash Scripting

Desired/Preferred Skills:
•Strong written and verbal skills
•SDA Command and Control Systems; Sensor Processing Systems, Optical Systems / Telescope systems a plus
•Artifact Repository Management using Nexus or similar
•Cyber compliance using Fortify Workbench, SonarQube, or similar tools
•Scrum Master or Product Owner experience a plus

Education/Certifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math

BESL complies with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary range for this particular effort in Colorado is approximately $80,000 - $130,000+ DOE.
