Zions Bancorporation has an opportunity for a Lead Business Continuity Training & Exercise Administrator in our Business Continuity team.
This position is eligible to work from home with a flexible 3/2 work schedule (subject to periodic review).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for determining and owning the exercising schedule, including the date(s) and time(s) of exercises based on the standards and stakeholder availability and in line with their Business Continuity Lifecycle.
- Oversees maintenance of the exercises and tests scenario library.
- Lead and orchestrate centrally organized exercises in partnership with the Enterprise Disaster Recovery team, including: identifying realistic scenarios for centrally run exercises based on risk assessment results, plan, coordinate, and execute centrally run exercises, oversee documentation of the results of centrally run exercises, ensuring lessons learned and issues identified are translated into action plans and associated due dates owned by various stakeholders (e.g., business, technology, etc.), oversee coordination of re-tests as required.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business partners to ensure cohesive and well-executed testing.
- Review & challenge scenario selection by business line for functional exercises and tabletops.
- Review & challenge test results for functional exercises, table-tops, and walkthroughs.
- Assist with business line remediation of lessons learned, including turning them into action items for individual Business Continuity Plans.
- Escalate when business lines are not in compliance with exercising, testing or training requirements.
- Ensure exercise results are reported to senior management and the Board.
- Develop and oversee general business resiliency training for all employees and targeted training for employees who play a role in business resiliency planning, exercising and incident response, including any tools required to support these roles.
- Define and refresh training objectives and requirements.
- Facilitate production of training material, content, monitor completion and results.
- Maintain compliance with internal, external, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor projects/programs against major milestones, take preventative/corrective action as appropriate to ensure delivery on time, within budget, according to specifications.
- Ensure all changes to processes are communicated, documented and implemented and communicated to other operations.
- Maintain a strong communication network with all assigned areas to promote exchange of information and ideas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's
- 8+ years experience in Business Continuity Planning, Resilience Risk Assessment, Business Continuity strategy development, Business Continuity Plan development, plan analysis, testing, incident response, business resiliency training and development or directly related experience.
- A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Expert knowledge of Business Continuity Management topics, including Business Impact Analysis, Resilience Risk Assessment, Business Continuity strategy development, Business Continuity Plan development, incident and crisis management, business resiliency training and design.
- Expert working knowledge of and ability to develop, implement and monitor a risk-based testing programs to assure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and business continuity plans.
- Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to respond in a stressful environment created during emergency situations.
- Excellent problem resolution, analysis, decision making and client relationship skills.
- Excellent project management and time management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to develop and create training materials and/or content and present complex topics in training situations.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects, independently or as part of a team.
- Must have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel). Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
