Experienced Hazardous Bulk Driver
Job Description
Looking for an experienced Hazardous Bulk Driver.
We are a family-owned, small trucking company ran by a father and his daughter. We have been in business for 20 years serving the same customers. Our yard is based in Vernon, CA.
We have bulk tanks, 1 van trailer, and we haul mostly only hazardous products. Caustic, Sulfuric, Nitric, Agricultural, water treatments, etc.
We are an over-the-road carrier, we travel to AZ weekly along with NV, NM, TX often. This is not a local position.
We run Monday through Fridays, some loads may run into a Saturday or have to get rolling on a Sunday night but this is not often.
Requirements:
- For a driver to apply it is required to have a HazMat license.
- TWIC.
- At least 2 years of over-the-road tanker experience (no exceptions).
We do not offer tank hauling training but will have you trained and educated on our equipment. Because we haul such harsh chemicals, you must have experience under your belt. You will be assigned one truck that you will stay in and will be yours.
Responsibilities:
- You are required to keep your tractor maintained at all times. If there are major issues, advise dispatch and we will address them.
- Drivers need to advise dispatch of any issues you may find with any of the equipment (during a PreTrip, or loading/offloading) so we can address it as well.
- Drivers are required to have a good and professional attitude at all facilities.
- Proper attire is always required, long pants, shirts, boots, and wear PPE when always needed.
Benefits:
- The annual salary starts at 75k.
- We offer 2 weeks’ vacation a year.
- We do not offer benefits.
