Live Hanger

Joe Jurgielewicz & Son Ltd. is a 4th generation family-owned duck farm that specializes in bringing the finest ducks to restaurants, institutions, retailers, and home consumers across the U.S. and globally. We are currently looking for a Poultry Live Hanger for our Hamburg location.

Job Summary:

A Poultry Hanger is responsible for one of the first steps on the duck production line such as handling and hanging of live ducks onto metal shackles.

Some Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow animal welfare standards while handling live poultry in a safe and respectful manner.
• Hang ducks on metal shackles while adhering to the animal welfare policies.
• Fast pace and repetitive grasping and hanging of live ducks by the feet.

Qualifications:

• Able to repeatedly lift up to 10 lbs in a fast pace
• Able to stand for an 8-to-12-hour shift
• Regularly works around moving mechanical parts inside plant floor.
• Able to work in a dusty environment
