Senior Accountant

CFS has partnered with an innovative organization to help find their next Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for coordinating month end close, preparing account and bank reconciliations and variance analyses, and managing the fixed asset and intangibles process. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for assisting with the external audit and the internal budget process.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Controller to complete a timely and accurate monthly close for the US operations, including the preparation of monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP, account reconciliations, and P&L analyses
• Maintain the General Ledger and ensure proper posting of all transactions
• Maintain account reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts
• Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation expense in accordance with the company's capitalization policies
• Maintain and update entity, sales and use tax filings in various states
• Assist with the year-end audit, including preparation of audited financial statements and related footnotes
• Participate in annual budgeting and mid-year reforecasting processes
• Oversee daily activities of Junior Accountant and Accounting Assistant and offer guidance as needed
• Support Controller and CFO with other projects as needed

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance
• 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
