Machine Operator

Black Diamond Advanced Technology (BDATech) is seeking Night Shift Machine Operators on a temporary basis who will set up and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets work instructions and inspection documents to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion. This temporary position will be payrolled through one of our staffing services that BDATech is partnered with.

Essential Functions

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work procedures and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
• Set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
• Utilizes hand and power tools to complete some job functions.
• Reads and interprets work instructions to ensure accuracy of work performed.
• Perform measurements using measuring instruments (ruler, calipers, etc.).
• Utilize computer systems (e.g. work instructions, labor charging, and logging of assembly records).
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. unassisted.
• Able to work 8-10 hour shifts while standing.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
2. One year certificate from college or technical school preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
3. A minimum of 1 year of related experience

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance
