EY-Parthenon’s Quantitative Strategies and Solutions team has a market-leading proposition to create and maximize value for our clients by combining deep subject matter expertise in these emerging technologies with cutting edge quantitative solutions.
The opportunity
EY-Parthenon’s Quantitative Strategies and Solutions (QS2) team works on complex and high-profile emerging technology engagements across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of highly experienced technical professionals with backgrounds in manufacturing, mobility, energy, AI/ Machine Learning, and autonomous systems, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As a team, we assess client gaps and link them to solutions from emergent, disruptive technologies; identify and source technology solutions; develop strategies and roadmaps around emerging technology; set the stage for development, adoption, and commercialization; and develop and deploy novel solutions for our clients. This role will lead a team responsible for providing technical consulting and developing analytical toolsets and software across a range of different types of engagements with a focus on the Advanced Manufacturing Technology sector. As a senior member on the team, you will lead projects, maintain client relationships, and support the growth of the business. Having a mixed technical, commercial mind-set is key to this role.
Your key responsibilities
- Works closely with other technology and business subject matter experts on producing state-of-the-art solutions that will enable our clients to achieve their strategic goals.
- Works on emerging manufacturing technology projects, and leverages subject matter expertise knowledge to develop quantitative methodologies and tools to produce comprehensive solutions, within the agreed quality, service commitment levels, schedules, and budgets
- Actively involved in the daily operational activities that generally impact important components / processes of the technology function
- Develops protocols to support established standards
- Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur.
- Gathers and updates necessary information and communicates to appropriate parties
- Coordinates cross-functionally to accomplish assigned tasks
- Mentors less experienced members of the team
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, operations research, industrial/systems engineering, business analytics or related data science and 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 18 months of related work experience.
- A master’s degree and/or PhD strongly preferred.
- Experience with one or more of the following fields:

- Delivering high-quality work products for clients
- Team management and client development experience
- Excellent analytical, project management, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
- Strong track record of applying technical skills in an industry setting
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Prior experience with one or more:
- programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, C/C++, Bash, Qt/QML, R);
- web technologies (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, Firebase, D3, HTML, CSS, React);
- platform technologies (e.g., Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure); and
- data tools (e.g., Tensorflow, scikit-learn, Numpy, pandas)
- data management, data structures and analytic models
