HIL Test Engineer

Overview:

The role of the Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing engineer is to design testing methods for the Battery Management System (BMS) module, conduct the testing using the cutting-edge HIL setups and evaluate BMS performance based on the test results.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for functional testing of the BMS module
• Understand the BMS hardware/software requirements and vehicle/system requirements
• Develop Design Verification Method (DVM) based on BMS software requirements
• Develop automated test cases with dSPACE Automation Desk and Python scripts
• Analyze test data to evaluate BMS performance and communicate issues to BMS developers
• Plan testing activities to meet BMS release timeline
• Support HIL development and toolchain integration
• Support BMS software/hardware issue trouble shooting and root cause identification
• Support battery cell/pack and vehicle testing
• Follow company verification process to ensure quality control

Preferred experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Experience with embedded software development or testing
• Experience with dSPACE HIL products, e.g., SCALEXIO, Test Automation Framework
