The starting rate for this position is $15 per hour. Pay is based on experience.
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Receptionist/Guest Specialist receives visitors, answers phones, ascertains their needs and contacts proper authority, and performs related clerical duties according to the project assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Shall be required to submit fingerprints for a criminal record review. Fingerprint clearance and submission of Criminal Record Statement is required (LIC508).
- Shall demonstrate that their health condition allows them to perform the duties required (with or without reasonable accommodation) and must submit an annual health screening report (LIC503).
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Two years of office work experience preferred.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check and pre-placement physical exam.
- Effective English communication skills, both verbal and written. Fluency in languages in addition to English is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and dresses in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of office equipment including, telephones, computers, printers and copy machines.
- Demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Proficient typing speed of at least 50 wpm.
- Experience working with volunteers preferred.
- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multicultural environment preferred.
