The Radiology Supervisor is responsible for upholding and enforcing facility policies, ensuring quality standards are met, maintaining Title 17 regulations and providing support to the Radiology Team. The Radiology Supervisor should be proficient in Mammography, Radiology and DEXA scanning procedures as well as have a working knowledge of Ultrasound and Echocardiography job duties.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Department Standards
- Schedule and maintain preventive maintenance services throughout the calendar year
- Complete and review quality control logs
- Staff scheduling
- Interview job candidates
- Communicate needs of the department to the providers and clinical staff
- Provide staff education
- Review policies and provide updates and revisions as needed
- Assist with Mammography quality assurance standards
- Perform Common Review, assess competencies and monitor progress
- Review and submit timecards
- Promote positive environment in the department and develop interdepartmental relationships
- Coordinate department goals with corporate goals and policies
- Order departmental supplies
- Develop effective corrective action plans as needed
- Maintain department standards to be inspection ready at all times
- Participate in quarterly safety meetings
- Conduct monthly department meetings
- Participate in quality events
- Coordinate disease awareness month events
- Assist in departmental improvement projects
- Department Team Dynamics
- Assist with front desk coverage including answering phones and assisting callers in a friendly, professional manner
- Keep up to date on required learning
- Maintain professional, courteous relationships with co-workers/Discuss concerns and seek clarification to ensure effective team relationships/Respect co-workers knowledge, title, position and duties
- Participate in organizational events such as Quality event clinics, Breast Cancer awareness month, etc.
- Organize and participate in Breast Cancer Awareness month goals and promotions
- Actively participate in department meetings/Contribute to meeting agenda with proactive resolution to concerns and topics of discussion
- Develop and maintain positivity and growth development within the department

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
- ARDMS certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiology Technicians):
- Mammography Technician
- Radiology TechnicianStrong Team Dynamics
- Supervisor experience
- Experience utilizing excellent customer service
