IT Business Analyst

Position: Business Analyst IV

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 6 Months contract

Key skills: Agile , TFS , Jira, Azure (Cloud) , Middleware knowledge

Job Summary: Drive identification of requirements across business units and convert them to technical requirements to be consumed by developers.

Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing forward-thinking systems processes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Elicit and document detailed Technical (Non-Functional) requirements from Business units.
• Maintain user stories in TFS/Azure.
• Identify potential process solutions using Middleware and Cloud technologies.
• Maintain transparent communication between Business units and technical teams
• Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of scheduled status reports to all appropriate parties
• Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
• Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations

Qualifications:

• Technical Degree or related work experience
• Proven experience in an analytics and systems development capacity
• Proven analytical abilities
• Practical experience generating process documentation and reports
• Excellent communicator with the ability to translate Business requirements into Technical Requirements.
