Commissions Coordinator



Job Description

Accounting Principals is hiring a Commissions Coordinator for a 4-month temp position in NYC. This individual is responsible for data entry, reviewing closing packages, and closing deals in a paperless environment using proprietary accounting systems. The Commissions Coordinator is focused on ensuring accuracy, timely completion, and the highest level of customer service to the Real Estate agents and offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Review closing packages submitted from the branches to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Data entry in various accounting systems.
  • Audit closing documentation which may include commission checks, HUDs, purchase contracts, etc. to close the deal in our proprietary accounting system.
  • Apply necessary commission adjustments for timely and accurate payments to the Agents.
  • Provide support with excellent communication to the Agents, Rental Managers and Senior Managing Directors in response to inquiries regarding commission payouts, deductions, commission schedules and commission calculations.
  • Ensure all commission calculations are approved and in compliance with policy
  • Be prompt in answering calls from the agents, Rental Managers and Senior Managing Director
  • Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; may consider candidates without a degree given applicable work experience
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or payroll a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and reasoning skills
  • Excellent time management skills and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Be able to think outside the box
  • Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Employment Type: Temp Assignment, the role will be performed in an office setting. The normal work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM .
