Sr. Digital Experience & Marketing Analyst

The Digital Experience (DX) and Marketing Analyst position will report to our Sr. Web Analytics Manager and will perform exploratory data analysis to identify potential opportunities and monitor performance of the “customer experience” on the B2B and B2C digital channels. They will provide recommendations to improve departmental reporting to effectively support strategic eCommerce B2B and B2C initiatives. They will be responsible for working cross-functionally with Digital Product Owners, IT, Offshore Contractors, Merchandising, Marketing (COMM and DIY), Pricing and other functional areas to achieve common objectives and help drive eCommerce opportunities. The Analyst will be able to provide guidance on findings and implications and be capable of explaining these findings to internal customers. A high-level of accuracy on all data analysis is expected, as well as a desire to continue to learn new approaches, techniques, and best practices. This team member will explore, develop, and implement predictive models to improve profitability and customer service across all our brands.


Job Responsibilities- Other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop automated reporting and ad-hoc analysis as needed
  • Create SAS programs (SAS Data step, SAS Macros, PROC SQL, PROC Report, PROC Tabulate, ODS tagsets, PROC Import / Exports) to generate reporting as per requirement of stakeholders.
  • Generate automated reports using batch SAS jobs.
  • Write complex SQL queries for collecting and integrating data from various database sources (Oracle, DB2, Postgres-Greenplum, Adobe Analytics and flat files) to fulfill on demand and ad hoc analytic needs.
  • Design and develop ETL strategy to create DataMarts and integrate data from different sources.
  • Analyze and validate analytics data between the source and target systems for different channels of business – E-commerce, commercial, DIY by data transformations and data cleansing.
  • Generate actionable insights from data and effectively communicate recommendations to drive sales, Traffic and EBIT.
  • Propose KPI metrics to monitor and understand retail and commercial business.
  • Review the results of the analysis and provide recommendations to improve sales and EBIT.
  • Perform gap analysis and communicate results to the business.
  • Develop daily and weekly reporting on Traffic to monitor performances of different marketing channels.
  • Leverage multiple data sources to deliver cohesive insights to stakeholders (Leadership, Merchandising, Marketing and Digital Product owners) on category and channel trends and deep-dives uncovering high impact opportunities.
  • Assist in forecasting and planning for E-commerce and Commercial business using statistical methodologies and modeling
  • Develop statistical models in SAS such as linear regression, time series forecasting and decision trees to forecast sales and gross margins.
  • Create statistical models in SAS to estimate sales based on promotions on the website.
  • Use statistical techniques to solve various analytic problems, understand the impact of new initiatives and communicate the results effectively.
  • Adjust forecasting models based on the recent trends
  • Generate dashboards and reports for key KPI metrics
  • Create interactive self-service graphical dashboards for monitoring critical KPIs using Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools
  • Connect to various data sources and transform the data as per the business requirements in reporting tool.
  • Develop complex functions in SAS, Power BI, Tableau to display various measures in dashboards.
  • Identify bottlenecks and optimize reporting processes.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, statistics or similar, Master’s degree plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of analytical experience
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce, web analytics, and statistics
  • Proficiency in querying complex data warehouses, and aggregate data for strategic reporting using SAS is desired
  • Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills are needed
  • Presentation of findings, including recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Work well with multiple levels in the organization
  • Strong analytic and quantitative reasoning and enjoy problem solving with relative autonomy
