• Maintain an Intergrated Pest Magament System (IPM) in accordance with Peckham Farms Eco-friendly policies
• Assist with the development and maintainance of a compost production plan
• Assist the Farmer and Business Manager in establishing and maintaining a fruit and vegetable production plan
• Plan and maintain drip irrigation systems and garden beds
• Calibrate fertilization and spray equipment so that correct amounts of product is applied to turf grass and ornamental plantings
• Assist with the development and maintainance of all wire trellises (frames) to support vines and fruit
• Receive shipments to the Mebane site
• Follow up on reported ornamental plant problems
• Check in with supervisor for any change on that day work schedule
• Maintaining organization wide quality standards
• Assist in further developing I. P.M program
• Perform deliveries with farm vehicle
• Demonstrate a positive example to fellow employees by; A. Reporting to work on time
• Monitor and administer fertilizer for soil and plant develpoment
• Assist in ordering fertilizers and pesticides
• Wear and use aU required safety equipment when apply pesticides
• Complete daily paper work (timesheet, and usage report)
• Keep spray equipment clean and in a safe working order at all times
• Keep organized and up to date spray records on all properties
• Assist with developing agricultural training material and conduct and attend related training sessions/classes
