Engineering Intern

Duties/Responsibilities, Core knowledge:

• Assist our Engineering Team in analyzing key project site energy performance information, including utility data and facility infrastructure drawings.
• Assist our Engineering Team to prepare energy savings calculations.
• Assist our Engineering Team in conducting comprehensive energy audits.
• Assist our Engineering Team in performing energy and water consumption measurements, usage analysis, and energy modeling
• Use Energy Star’s Portfolio Manager to benchmark the facility.
• Assist our Engineering Team in verifying data and in order to prepare High Performance Building Solution summary reports
• Provide assistance with preparation of detailed specifications, cost savings analysis, and scopes of work for energy efficiency and conservation improvements
• Other duties, as assigned

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in either a Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering discipline at a 4-year accredited Engineering University.
• Must have completed at least 2 years in an Engineering discipline.
• Basic knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, building envelope and/or control systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic engineering principles.
• MS Office proficiency, including advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
• Strong organizational, verbal, written, technical communication and presentation skills.
• Valid Drivers License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
• Located in Cleveland, Ohio.
