AV rated firm in Encino seeks full-time file clerk for our Employment Law Practice Groups. Previous law firm experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Basic office skills (i.e. faxing, scanning, photocopying) is a must
- General understanding of law firm office procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly, possess excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be a self-starter and able to multitask effectively while also being a valuable team player
• Must be attentive to detail and able to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel. Previous experience with ProLaw is a plus
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set-up and maintain all case files, including indexing of pleadings and evidence files
• Identifying, sorting and categorizing financial, legal, corporate, real estate and other document types
- Maintain organization of file room
• Maintain client and database information
- Assist attorneys and support staff
• Update and maintain conflict and referral list
- Maintain schedule for local court volunteer program and interact with attorneys
