What You'll Do:
Overview
We're looking to hire a VP of Sales with a genuine passion for leading the Business Development and Sales Enablement aspects of our B2B clinical trial infrastructure (CRO) team. Our VP of Sales will be responsible for scaling the Business Development team, developing coaching and training for the BD team and drive Vial's innovative CRO business unit to hit revenue. You'll report to our CEO and work directly with Business Development and Clinical Operations teams.
Vial is a tech-enabled, next-generation CRO that promises higher quality and faster execution of trials powered by a network of partnered clinics and Vial's technology platform.
This role is fully remote, based anywhere in the US. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide sponsorship to work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and scale a Business Development team across Therapeutic Areas in order to scale the Vial CRO.
- Support the Business Development by designing sales processes (discovery, staging, etc.), learning and development and coaching to improve quota attainment.
- Create systems and help the BD team prepare for General Capabilities presentations including reviewing company development programs, therapeutic market intelligence and understanding key decision makers at the sponsor.
- Speak on behalf of Vial's CRO capabilities on webinars, at events and in content marketing.
- Aide in generating new business for the CRO.
- Build and maintaining relationships with potential sponsor clients across Therapeutic Areas
- Maintain expertise in the clinical trial industry by tracking industry news/events/trends, speaking with KOLs, maintaining close industry relationships
- Assist and support handing off clients to Clinical Operations in order to manage cross-functional post trial award efforts

- You are known for your pragmatism and ability to get stuff done while being a strategic thought partner to the rest of the executive team.
- Move fast, and manage the multiple simultaneous workstreams common in a startup environment
