Warehouse and Inventory Management
Candidate will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. Daily operations are high level, high volume, and fast past, with a hands-on approach. Management responsibility includes receiving and organizing warehouse space, scheduling labor, managing inventory, and fulfilling orders with accuracy and efficiency. Collaborates with leadership and stakeholders to develop performance metrics, best practices, lead process and implements that align with the strategic priorities of the team and responsibility of transportation personnel, vehicles and route management.
Ideal candidate will create the departments’ structure while building and overseeing KPI's, process improvement and network optimization. Additionally, responsible for personnel hiring, development and meeting performance expectations. As well as effectively work cross functions in leading and supporting daily executing and implementing new initiatives within the organization.


Warehouse & Inventory management includes six core processes. Each process influences the efficiency of the next, so every step must be optimized for the warehouse operation to run like a well-oiled machine:


1. Receiving. Check-in and log incoming items. Verify that the items received have the correct quantity, in the proper condition, are per schedule.
2. Put-away. Move items from the receiving dock to their correct storage locations.
3. Storage. Safely store and logically arrange inventory to enable fast and accurate picking.
4. Picking. Collect the items needed to fulfill sales orders.
5. Packing. Prepare the picked items for shipment. Safely pack items into the proper packaging with an accurate packing slip.
6. Shipping. Send out the finalized sales orders, ensuring that they are on the right vehicle, at the right time, with the correct documentation, so customers receive their orders on time.


These steps play a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring on-time delivery and productivity on our projects.

Inventory. Implement cycle counting and/or physical inventories using inventory system reports, inventory software, and count sheets to ensure inventory accuracy.
Organization. Optimizing the use of warehouse space to maximize inventory storage.
Comprehensive control. Warehouse management involves coordinating complex processes involving many moving parts: people, equipment, orders, and inventory. Warehouse Manager will need to be able to track each process to ensure it's running smoothly and solve the problems that inevitably occur. Quality control is critical to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately.
Flexibility and resilience. Warehouse Manager must be able to change plans with little notice, whether it's because materials have arrived damaged or because inclement weather is delaying shipments. It's also important to be able to adjust workflows to maximize efficiency, whether that involves rearranging warehouse space or reimagining picking processes.
Customer focus. On-time delivery, with the correct product, is one of the most important metrics when it comes to customer service and satisfaction. To deliver on time, you need to be able to fulfill orders quickly and accurately.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• College degree with emphasis in distribution, warehouse, logistics, retail, or transportation. Some college plus equivalent work experience may be accepted. Preferably in the warehouse, manufacturing, or transportation industry.
• 3-5 years of warehouse experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to develop and lead team members in meeting goals and objectives.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proactive and results oriented demeanor.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of asset management procedures, and information used to optimize inventory levels and/or fill rates.
• Solid experience in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work a full-time/flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to support a 24-hour operation, and be on call, including carrying an emergency cell phone as needed.
• Proven experience in quality and safety.
• Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and follow-through skills.
• Maintain forklift certification.
• Availability to travel, as needed.
