Assistant Program Manager

The Maryland Programs Assistant Manager is responsible for a variety of duties that support the daily programmatic needs of the Maryland Residential, Personal Supports, Day, Vocational and Quality Programs. This support can be in the form of administrative duties performed in conjunction with Community Living Managers, Program Managers (PM), Quality Coordinators (QC), supervision of substitute staff, and providing investigations or trainings to team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Assumes the role of PM and/or Community Living Manager during their absence.
  • Works with PM and QC during a Residential Supervisors position vacancy.
  • Works with the Residential Supervisors, QC, Delegating Nurses and other professionals to assure quality staffing development.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship with the individuals, families, co-workers and/or other support staff.
  • Encourages a person-centered approach to individual support plans.
  • Completes review of bimonthly and monthly paperwork as assigned.
  • Monitors training requirements of staff to ensure compliance.
  • Completes monthly financial documentation.
  • Monitors staff schedules and arrange or provide, if possible, coverage in emergency situations and perform on-call duties.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations for applicable licensing and certification agencies.
  • Supervises the Substitute Staff in the execution of their duties. Hire, train, evaluate, discipline, and terminate Substitute Staff under their supervision.
  • Coordinates all hiring within the MD Residential Program.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma/ G.E.D.
  • Acceptable criminal background.
  • Valid Driver's License with 2 yrs. of consecutive driving experience.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening process
