Sr Specialist, Quality Engineer with Security Clearance
Description: Job Title: Senior Specialist, Quality Engineer Job Location: Tempe, AZ Job ID: CS20221204-80527 L3Harris' Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Senior Specialist, Quality Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Tempe-AZ facility. Position Overview: The Sr. Specialist Quality Engineer will be responsible for performing analytics and statistical analysis to drive performance improvements across a broad range of business functions including Production, Engineering, Quality and Operations. Must be able to manage complex projects and processes with general oversight. Essential Responsibilities: * Communicate within and outside own function and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary. * Interface with external customers as required to address and correct issues to ensure seamless acceptance and delivery of product to support department and operating plans. Explains, interprets and gains cooperation on policies, procedures and practices. * Provide guidance, coaching and training to department test and production personnel in proper test methods and techniques. * Reviews and recommends changes to existing business procedures and methods by incorporating data analysis techniques. * Point of contact for work instruction review and updates to USG when required. * Present results to management, including data-driven business recommendations and alternatives. Provides accurate timely status reports/scoreboards, delivering assignments on-time with a high level of quality. * Collaborate with users and team members to provide accurate estimates for assigned tasks. Work individually and as a team member to ensure stability of company production systems. * Department P.O.C. for investigation, corrective action and close out of F.I.A.R.'s and Incident Reports to ensure timely disposition and acceptance of product. * Author and present Qualification Test Plans (QTP), Qualification Validation Plans (QVP), Qualification Test Reports (QTR) and Production Reliability Acceptance Test (PRAT) reports for internal approval as required. Reuired Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. * Required statistical skills include ANOVA, DOE, SPC, FMEA, PPAP andregression analysis. Knowledge of statistical and simulation software, e.g., Arena, MINITAB, JMP, Matlab, SAS and SimCad. * Access databases and Excel Reports, using modules, forms, macros, and formulas. * Ability to obtain a Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications: * Strong problem solving and analytical skills and an innate desire to learn and continually improve. * Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems, AS9100, and knowledge of design techniques, tools, and related principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models desired. Knowledge of practical application of Engineering science and technology; including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services is desired. * Six Sigma and / or LEAN manufacturing certification a plus. * Experience in creating Access databases and Excel Reports, using modules, forms, macros and formulas. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills and have a strong work ethic, be adaptable and flexible. * Ability to effectively establish and maintain collaborative relationships, and to possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
