Network Architect

A health services network in New Jersey is currently seeking a new Network Architect for a great opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Network Architect will be responsible for providing functional and empirical analysis related to the planning, design, installation, and implementation of the network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

The Network Architect:

• Participates in the planning and design of network architecture
• Performs maintenance of network devices including the restoration of hardware and software
• Conduct advanced research and evaluation of network technology and recommend purchases of network equipment
• Anticipates and mitigates potential attacks through network or other connections to ensure the security of the system
• Works with end users and vendors to resolve network hardware and software issues
• Installs, supports and tests Local and Wide Area Networks
• Supports Infrastructure including: switches, routers, wireless, optical, and firewalls
• May develop end-user training to achieve efficient utilization of LAN/WAN
• Responds to and resolves help desk tickets
• Participates in project management activities, as assigned
• Participates in Network Team On-Call program

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology and/or a related field
• Bachelor level degree or equivalent in IT related discipline Eight years of experience is required.
• One or more of the following: Active Cisco CCNP, CCDP, CCIE routing and switching.
• IOS, NX-OS, Routing Protocols—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VXLAN, L2 / L3 Architecture and Design Multicast, QoS
• Possesses expert knowledge OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, advanced IP routing technology
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the following: TCP/IP network subject matters, routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and LAN/WAN technologies.
• Experience in a Leadership role
