Role Profile

Position: Technical Quote Representative

Job Location: Remote

Operating Business: Rawson

Job Type: Full-Time

Status: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Role

The function of the Quote Team representative is to provide technical product solutions in a timely, professional and accurate manner to ensure a positive customer experience to existing and prospective customers.

Responsibilities
  • Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Creating accurate timely quotes,
  • Follow up on Quotation
  • Offer customers additional products to compliment current product or service
  • Utilize strategic pricing tools to ensure maximum margins are achieved
  • Partners with Account Managers and customers to provide sales quotes
  • Processes incoming RFQs into company sales system (P21)
  • Quotes customers using working knowledge of product
  • Ensure accurate pricing through customer and national contracts.
  • Monitors inventory levels to ensure promise date fulfillment
  • Builds and maintains strong internal and external relationships
  • Supports internal customers ensuring their needs are being met and/or support colleagues in managing client relationship


Skills and Abilities
  • Strong product knowledge within quote team product group especially in Instrumentation & Automation
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to interact with customers and team-members in a professional manner
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proactive quote retrieval
  • Requires a proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure
  • Must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Use vendor and customer resources available in sharepoint (pricing and cost)
  • Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, internet and email
  • Must be able to successfully utilize the company software


Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial sales
  • College degree preferred, will consider equivalents
