MRI Tech - 8 hours; Saturday 7:30AM - 4:00PM

Description:

Under the direction of the Radiology Manager, and the clinical direction of the MRI Team Leader and Radiologist, and within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures, responsible for providing high quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging services. Perform the majority of exams with minimal supervision. Serve as a positive role model, while working in collaboration with all levels of departmental personnel. Assure and provide a safe working environment. Adhere to all patient safety protocols and practice.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\:

• Associate’s degree required. For those candidates who meet the requirements of licensing and registration agencies and have been grandfathered by those agencies, Associate’s degree requirement may be waived, but a high school diploma or equivalent is required

• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required; MR registered or pending MR registration required within 18 months
• CPR training required

• One (1) to two (2) years MR experience and/or training required
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology required, as well as a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy required
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and organizational skills required
• Demonstrated ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations required
