Host Job Description
Summary
It is a host's responsibility to greet all guests in an euthanasic manner and assist the guest to their desired area in the venue. All duties are to be performed in accordance with Dawghouse policies, practices, procedures, dress code and service standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet and acknowledge guests by using the 5/10 foot rule.
- Explain to guests the different attractions we offer and guide them to the desired area.
- Take phone calls and respond professionally and efficiently to questions/concerns over the phone.
- Guide passing guests around the property.
- Offer information on menu, beverages, and specials we offer.
- Take reservations
- Address guest requests and escalate when necessary
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely and friendly manner.
- Walk through the venue during service to ensure guest satisfaction and advise appropriate staff for specific needs.
- Roll silverware
- Arrange furniture and tables throughout the venue for specific events, live music, etc.
- Keep the host stand and front area clean and free of debris.
- Communicate with other staff members if assistance is needed through shift.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation policies throughout the venue.
- Efficiently perform opening/closing duties and check-out with a manager.
- Exhibit calm, professional, and cheerful demeanor.
- Comply with all safety and health department procedures.
- Maintain social platforms as indicated by management; post events, communications and participate in marketing campaigns via social media
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Preferred:
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced restaurant, nightclub, or day club.
• Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting
