BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering - Mobile Apps Development - Intermediate for a Hybrid (3 days Onsite 2 days) opportunity in NYC NY!

Position Title: Software Engineering - Mobile Apps Development - Intermediate
Location: NYC NY (Hybrid Model 3 days from onsite & 2 days remote)
Expected Duration: 4 Months Contract to permanent

Description:

Proficient in Mobile Application Development as well as multiple design techniques

Working proficiency in Mobile toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks

Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security

Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages

Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of Software

Roles & Responsibilities:

Software Engineer for an Agile full stack development team. Working on Corporate Challenge application.

Skills Required:

5+ years of combined software/application development experience

Experience with all phases of the development life cycle

Created 1 or more applications available in Apple's AppStore or Google's Android Market

Familiarity with Agile development including daily scrum and weekly iteration reviews and planning

Familiarity with how to optimize code for phones, testing with phones, challenges with phones

Familiarity with several languages: Objective C, Swift, Java a plus

Experience with GIT source control management.

Experience consuming SOAP web services

Advanced communication skills with the ability to clarify application requirements via phone/email with business partners in addition to relying on technical requirements documentation
