Network Operations Support Administrator with Security Clearance
REQ#: RQ123320 Travel Required: None Public Trust: NACI (T1) Requisition Type: Regular GDIT is seeking a Jr. Network Administrator to support the National Institute of Health (NIH) Center for Information Technology (CIT).In this role you will work with the Network Operations Team to provide day-to-day administration of the NIH network to support customers and engineers. You will also troubleshoot and resolve network issues within the SLA timeframe and respond to customer tickets and work on projects as assigned. You must be able to occasionally work evenings or weekends. In this role, a typical day will include: * Responding to customer incidents
* Monitoring Alert Dashboard and ensuring that tickets are created for issues
* Activating/Configuring Network interfaces for customers across multiple locations
* Working as part of a 24x7 on call rotation in support of incidents.
* Deploying/upgrading new network devices
* Move equipment between locations
* Following established processes to support NIH network
* Creating Change Requests REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * BA/BS Degree or four years of related experience
* Able to lift/move heavy network equipment
* Must possess or be able to obtain NIH Clearance / Public Trust PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS * Network+ or higher
* Experience with Wireless Infrastructure / 802.1x
* Experience with Monitoring Tools (i.e Sitescope/Solarwinds/Sciencelogic) About Our Work We are GDIT.
