What You Will Do:
We are seeking a mid-level to senior Python/Java Developer with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Some experience with XBRL is strongly desired. In support of one of the most critical systems in the federal government, you will team with other professionals to design, engineer, develop, and test complex data processing applications with strong emphasis on XML/XBRL. You will get to work in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibilities, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide business analysis, system analysis, design, and programming
- Write project and technical documentation
- Develop code for backend XML/XBRL data processing
- Perform unit and system testing
- Develop test scripts to validate XBRL functions
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years experience
- Experience in Python
- Experience in Java
- Experience in XML
- Experience in XBRL (1+ years)
- Experience developing database driven applications
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be highly motivated, reliable self-starter and can be counted on to complete assignments with minimal oversight
Desired Skills:
- Experience in government projects
- Experience working on financial systems and financial data
