Job Description
- Ensure High Availability of application running in a multi-cloud environment
- Continuously improve the metrics: Time to Detect and Time to Recover
- Implement world-class processes/tools for Monitoring/Observability
- Set up alerts, health checks with a High Signal/Noise Ratio for #on-call
- Manage the deployment, configuration, health, secrets of applications across dev, qa, uat and production
- Ensure Necessary and Sufficient access to developers via well defined IAM policies
- Improve the efficiency of CI/CD pipelines, Reduce time to deploy a change
- Adapt tools for chatops, gitops, ephemeral environments to improve the developer experience
- Optimize the cost of workloads on the cloud, implement best practices
- Other duties as assigned
- 7+ years of experience as DevOps/SRE or a combination of education and experience in this field
- Hands-on experience with IaaC, K8S in production on a public cloud
- Good understanding of IAM, Secret/Certificate Mgmt, Network security
- More than POC level knowledge of a service mesh (istio/linkerd)
- Can self host mongo, mysql, gitlab, jenkins, kafka and other infra software
- Managed ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana etc.. in Production
- Operationalized an #on-call team with proper tools, opsgenie/pagerduty etc
- Comfortable writing code in any one programming language: Javascript/Python/Bash..
- Understands InfoSec, Data Privacy, Compliance requirements
- Linux, Shell programming, Networking
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
