Senior Catering Attendant

Experience and Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in Food Service Operation required.
  • Customer service experience and good communication skills required.

Job Duties

  • Completes and maintains all job performance requirements and criteria as established in the Career Ladder Program and Position, Time and Duties.
  • Maintains and promotes a positive work environment with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to interact with Senior Leadership and be their point of contact and liaison for Catering events.
  • Assembles (light production), set up, deliver, and serve (if requested) catering requests, maintaining an on-going sense of urgency, monitoring quality standards, and following food safety procedures for delivery scheduled catered events.
  • Retrieves catered deliveries at scheduled event end time, collect catering serving pieces.
  • Cleans room and follows procedures for sanitation. Cleans and sanitizes work area and equipment at end of shift.
  • Focuses on menu development with Executive Chef, trends in consumer tastes and quality issues.
  • Reviews scheduled catering events for the day and plan delivery schedule with Catering Attendant, help prep food items as needed. Driving vehicle if needed to deliver caterings. Assist with floor stock as needed.
  • Reviews CaterTrax daily for events, prints and distributes production sheets as needed. Secures pantries at end of service period. Wrap, label, date and properly store all food items in accordance with safe food handling techniques, practices and guidelines.
  • Attends in-service meetings and other required training and meetings as directed. Reports defective equipment/supplies and unusual conditions to supervisor.
  • Responsible for catering equipment, including weekly inventory, and tracking of missing items. Alerts Supervisor to Customer issues and Complaints,
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance. Review CaterTrax online Catering sheets, adjust from customers as needed. Use excel spread sheets for additional past catering information.
  • Press Ganey at 95% or Higher. Working Conditions Good general health and stress coping ability. Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity. Ability to speak and hear, to follow discussions with Supervisors and peers. Possess near vision acuity for accurate reading of instructions or equipment readings and recording on designated forms, chart. Must be physically able to lift, support and move objects weighting up to 25 pounds, unassisted.
  • Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents in lieu of stated minimums require prior approval of the Vice President for Human Resources Administration, or his/her designee.
