A client of Robert Half is seeking a qualified UX Design Lead! This is a great position for someone that already has a solid background of working in UX, and wants to continue in the field, building on their leadership.

Qualified candidates MUST be local to Columbus, OH, Plano TX, Glen Allen VA, or Eden Prairie MN, as this role does require a hybrid working schedule.


The User Experience Design Lead oversees and manages the implementation of product design policies, objectives, and initiatives. Leads development of new products and improvements to existing products or product lines.


Advocate for our customers and for design with cross-business stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


Effectively partner with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure programs receive appropriate UX support

Foster collaborative relationships with Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to deliver human centered, industry-leading product experiences across the company's products and services

Ship well-designed, high quality experiences for users across web, mobile and native platforms

Establish and iterate on a product design process that ensures we deliver the best outcomes for customers

Set best practices and standards related to UX/UI across products and features

Plan, staff, and manage priorities.

Define and communicate short and long-term design strategies

Provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to members of the design team


Qualifications:


Demonstrated experience recruiting, hiring, and retaining designers with diverse backgrounds and levels of expertise, and structuring the team to best fit the needs of the business and ensure the best outcomes

Demonstrated effectiveness of partnering with product and engineering leads to align on the right things to execute on.

Ease when navigating through ambiguity, exhibiting solid instincts about when to hold the line on methodological rigor and when to adapt to the changing demands of a project.

Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with multiple tasks, projects and manage a team to do the same.

Experience as a product builder who has worked closely with engineering and has strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.

Strong leadership, excelled at storytelling, influencing strategy and ensuring alignment on the best user experience.

Expert knowledge of user research, UX and product design methods and practices

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

Human-centered UX design leader with 5+ years of experience leading product design teams within a consumer facing, product development organization

Hands-on leader with at least 3 years of experience designing products across multiple platforms

Experience designing for WCAG AA compliance

Experience working closely with designers to help them set and achieve satisfying career goals

Travel Industry experience highly preferred
