Job Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs, preventative maintenance and installation of production machines, systems and supporting equipment including stamping presses, powder coating lines, waste-water/pre-treatment systems, machine tools and automated logistics equipment.
Additional responsibilities for this position include:
- Performs various tasks for other manufacturing departments that lack personnel with specialist skills
- Reads/analyzes information from process reports, shift logs and computerized maintenance management system data to monitor process efficiencies
- Supports setup of new equipment and optimization of current processes as needed
- Keeps management and other stakeholders informed on team activities as directed
- Support training and developing of technical specialists & apprentices as needed
- Must be willing to work a 3 shift rotation schedule including possible weekend overtime
- Must interact effectively as a member of the Manufacturing Maintenance team
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have maintenance and troubleshooting experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Additional requirements for this position include:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED degree from an accredited institution is required
- A 2-year technical degree is preferred
- Completion of a Technical Apprenticeship program with an emphasis on automated manufacturing machinery is preferred
- Prior experience in an international company or a subsidiary of an international company is preferred
- Prior experience working with European machinery is helpful
- Knowledge of equipment, tools, mechanical devices and their uses to produce and control the motion of functional hardware integrated with programmable logic control systems
- Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, costs, safety, and techniques for maximizing the manufacture of goods and services
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, basic statistics and their applications
- Effective communication skills (writing, speaking and listening)
- Ability to gather information through the process of interviews and other probing methods
- Can manage one’s time to achieve daily goals
- Skilled in Precision Measuring, Blueprint Reading, English/Metric conversion, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Machine Shop Equipment, Metal working including arc, mig and tig welding and the safe use of Oxy/Acetylene torch
- Previous experience with basic fabrication including drill press, band saw, milling, turning, surface grinding and bending
- Experience working with control technology, power transmission, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, mechanical stamping presses and their support equipment, waste water and pre-treatment systems, powder coating systems and support equipment and automated logistics equipment including the conveyor system and storage/retrieval machines.
- Must be able to perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Must be able to monitor equipment processes and determine root causes of operating errors using a logical diagnostic thought process
- Ability to use computers, programs and applications as needed Ability to teach others complex information in an efficient and effective way
- Finds it easy to adjust one’s behavior in order to deal effectively with other people
- Can modify one’s approach in response to changing priorities
- Able to adapt to an international company culture

- Base rate range is $23.00 to $27.00 per hour depending on experience
- Additional $2.00 per hour 2nd shift differential and $4.00 per hour 3rd shift differential added to the base rate
