Performs computed tomography, MRI, Mammography, and/or diagnostic scans designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures based on required certifications. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Responsible for maintaining patient record and files.
Minimum EducationGraduate of a JRC approved program or equivalent in radiologic technology.
Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action..
Certifications:Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in 2 pathways. Must pass 2nd registry within 18 months of hire/transfer dateBLS within 30 days of employment
