Job Description:

Overview:

THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE - suggested to work 4-6 days/month on site in one of our offices

Responsible for supporting the Chief Compliance Officer by assisting with and conducting compliance monitoring activities for ALPS Advisors, Inc. (the Adviser) and its advised registered investment companies (the Funds) to ensure activities are appropriately controlled and in compliance with applicable federal securities laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform compliance monitoring activities, risk assessments and testing as outlined in the Advisers and Funds Compliance Programs.

  • Assist with monitoring, testing, and oversight of service providers. This includes serving as liaison in performing due diligence reviews, on-site visits, and maintaining risk assessments.

  • Compilation of quarterly and annual written reports for various committees of the Adviser and the Funds Board of Trustees/Directors.

  • Review of Adviser marketing materials, RFP's and due diligence questionnaires.

  • Assist with Adviser and Fund regulatory filings; interact with regulators, as necessary, by requesting and/or providing information necessary to conduct regulatory compliance reviews and examinations.

  • Review new laws and regulations that may affect the Adviser and its Funds and evaluate the impact of those changes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the securities/asset management industry, preferably in a risk or compliance role.

  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment and rules and regulations applicable to investment advisers, registered investment companies, and/or other pooled investments.

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and prioritize multiple tasks and strong attention to detail.

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office; strong knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with high degree of creativity and resourcefulness.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Willingness to work on site about 4-6 days/month in one of our office locations.

Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $80,000 -$110,000. ( This position is eligible to participate in a company bonus plan and stock program)
