The Supplier Quality Inspector performs inspection for compliance to specifications as available: on drawings, job tickets, and samples, etc. This may be at different levels - either for receiving inspection, or in-process inspection. They d ocument acceptance/rejection of product and submits nonconforming product to supervisor/manager for disposition. In addition, they keep thorough records of results. Responsibilities may include receiving inspection at various levels and support for calibration program.
Exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is required. Essential job responsibilities include:

- Inspect product for visual, dimensional and functional characteristics
- Review associated documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Record inspection results on job tickets and other documents
- Contact other personnel to arrange meetings for disposition of non-conforming product
- Perform other work related duties as assigned
- Ability to use multiple tools and measuring equipment
