Splunk is seeking a highly strategic, analytical, process and detail-oriented Manager of Sales Operations. In this role you will be a leader in Splunks AMER Sales Operations team, with a day to day focus on the Enterprise Segment, supporting strategy, go to market planning, forecasting, critical metrics and communications, tactical analysis and standardized reporting. Attention to detail paired with mindfulness of the big picture is essential for success in this role.

You will cross-functionally work with several organizations at Splunk (including Sales leadership, Finance, HR, Legal, Partner operations, IT, and Marketing), with the primary objective of enabling sales leadership to make effective, data driven, and strategic operating decisions. You will assist in the sales planning and execution process from start to finish from establishing territories, sizing capacity, setting quotas, making adjustments during implementation, and reporting performance results throughout the year. In addition, you will work directly with Sales leaders and members of Splunks Sales Ops team and will act as the Subject Matter Expert for all processes, data, and reporting related to field operations.

Responsibilities:

You will manage a team of sales operations professionals to support an Enterprise sales team and deliver on strategy and go to market initiatives. In this role you will:

Strategy:

  • Manage and drive the development and execution of GTM strategy
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to provide insights and recommendations that help them drive their business forward
  • Drive change management in the organization
  • Design the plan for the next financial year in terms of quotas, account assignments, financial plan attainment, etc.

Operations:

  • Develop operational cadence for the sales division and ensure consistent execution
  • Build reporting dashboards and drive analysis to increase the performance visibility to the business owners
  • Analyze the health of the business and interpret key performance metrics
  • Derive recommendations and craft action plans to address weaknesses and areas of opportunity
  • Present recommendations to senior management for strategic decision making, operational change and investment
  • Execute key recommendations in collaboration with other functions and /or stakeholders
  • Support the day-to-day business needs of the sales organization execute cadence around forecasting and pipeline analysis, account management, etc.
  • Lead development of operations communication materials and trainings

Requirements:

You have 5+ years of experience in a functional field sales operations leadership role, managing a geographically dispersed team that supports large sales organizations in an enterprise software company context.

  • 5+ years experience in Sales Ops or related role at a fast growing enterprise software company
  • 5+ years driving GTM improvements in a sales organization utilizing SFDC
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Ability to set team and individual goals and drive to their fulfillment
  • Ability to gather and use data to inform decision-making and persuade others. You know how to work effectively in an unstructured environment requiring new perspectives and creative approaches
  • You possess business insight, strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to present complex content to business audiences
  • Proven track record of partnering successfully with sales teams to achieve business outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to be highly productive with minimal oversight from senior management
  • You take responsibility for actions and you are accountable for the outcomes
  • Willing to take on the tough projects and challenges to support growth of the business
  • Experience with Enterprise applications: Salesforce.com, Clari, Anaplan
  • Experience with driving and leading change across organizations
  • Bachelors Degree in a business or technical field (e.g. Operations, Business, Engineering, Information Technology, etc.).
