Consolidation & International Reporting Staff Accountant
A real estate firm in New York City is actively seeking a driven and analytical professional to join their staff as their new Consolidation & International Reporting Staff Accountant. In this role, the Consolidation & International Reporting Staff Accountant will determine different accounting treatments regarding how an asset should be consolidated based upon ownership structure.
Responsibilities
The Consolidation & International Reporting Staff Accountant will:- Close the books and records for the holding company
- Review underlying assets for reasonability
- Perform consolidation of portfolio assets, including rolling equity and ensuring all eliminations work properly
- Prepare financial schedules
- Analyze the information and investigate variances in order to communicate upward
- Exhibit strong excel skills to analyze data from multiple sources in order to determine what is driving fluctuations
- Establish and maintain interdepartmental relationships
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree
- Familiarity with IFRS accounting and concepts such as recording assets at fair value and straight-line rent
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to use complex formulas for data analytics
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organized
- Strong attention to detail
- CPA or MBA
- 4+ years of relevant experience working in a real-estate preferred.
- Yardi or MRI experience
- Exposure to waterfalls
